How to play
Every day there's a hidden championship reign. Your job is to name the wrestler who held it.
The basics
- Hit Start. You're told the title, like the Intercontinental Championship.
- Type a wrestler's name and pick them from the list. Nicknames and old ring names work too, so "Macho Man" finds Randy Savage.
- Miss, and you get a new clue. You have five guesses.
The clues, in order
- Era: Territory, Golden, New Generation, Attitude, Ruthless Aggression, PG, Reality, or Current.
- Year: the year the reign started.
- Days held: how long the reign lasted.
- Won it: the show where they won it and who they took it from.
Reading your guesses
- Right wrestler
- Held this title, but a different reign
- Never held this title
Multi-time champs count as long as it's their name on this reign. Alternate billings count as the same person: The Giant is Big Show, Diesel is Kevin Nash, Mankind is Mick Foley.
Modes
- Base: the big world titles. WWE, WCW, World Heavyweight, Universal and AEW.
- Mark: none of the Base belts. ECW, TNA, NXT, the Intercontinental and United States titles from the modern eras, and AEW's secondary belts.
- Smart Mark: everything in Mark, plus the NWA lineage back to 1948, the early IC and US reigns, both Cruiserweight titles, the European and WWF Light Heavyweight titles, the ECW and WCW TV titles, the ROH World title, the X Division title and the NXT UK title.
- Chaos: coming soon.
Each mode has its own daily puzzle and its own stats. A new puzzle drops at midnight your time. Free play gives you random reigns whenever you want, and doesn't count toward stats.
Streaks and stats
Win today's daily to keep your streak. Lose or skip a day and it resets. Stats are saved in your browser, so a new phone or a cleared browser starts fresh.
Sharing
When you finish, copy your result to share it. "Copy for Discord" adds the answer behind a spoiler tag, so you can talk about a brutal one without ruining it for anyone.
Where the data comes from
Reign histories are compiled from Wikipedia's championship lists and the promotions' official title histories. Vacancies and reigns a promotion doesn't recognize are left out. Spot a mistake? Email it in and it'll get fixed.
